Sam Campos [he/him] (Hue) is a Chicago actor, improviser and overall silly goose. His recent productions include (but not limited to): Holly-Daze (Cornservatory Theatre) and the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Sam is also a fight director and most recently did the violence design for Garters (Otherworld Theatre). Follow his shenanigans on instagram @apocryphalstories
Sarah Beth Johnson
Sarah Beth Johnson [they/she] (Understudy) is a recent Chicago transplant from the Sarasota, Florida, area where they were most recently seen bopping around the stage with Dingbat Theatre Project in productions like It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s Superman (Superman), Chicago, and Dingbat’s Peter Pan (John). They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Florida State University. She’s into checking out DVDs from the library, birding, contact improv and worrying about her old cat Cheyenne.
Peter Leonedis
Peter G. Leondedis [he, his] (King Algebra) is thrilled to work for the first time with Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre. Recent Chicago credits include In the Back/On the Floor with Stage Left Theatre (where he is also an ensemble member) and The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife and Something’s Afoot with Skokie Theatre. Kansas City credits include The Cherry Orchard, Drowsy Chaperone, A Flea in Her Ear and The 39 Steps. He is represented by BMG Talent.
Julia Namm
Julia Namm [she, her] (Understudy) is excited for her first production with Ghostlight Ensemble! Favorite Chicago credits include: Never the Sinner (Surging Theatrics) and Six Stories Tall (Adventure Stage). She is a proud graduate of Northwestern University.
Kendal Romero
Kendal Romero [she/her] (Princess V) is delighted to work with Ghostlight again but this time on stage instead of in the booth! Some Chicago credits include Timon of Athens (The Shakespeare Project of Chicago), Night of the Hunter (City Lit), Southern Gothic (Windy City Playhouse), The Importance of Being Earnest (Theatre Above the Law), Failure: A Love Story (Oil Lamp Theater) and Darkling (Third Eye Theatre + Theater Wit). She has worked on multiple local and national commercials along with a variety of independent films. She also has taken a fancy to writing with a couple short scripts being featured at Cut to the Chase Festival at The Artistic Home and NYC Midnight Competition. Kendal is proudly represented by Lily’s Talent and if you’d like to say “howdy”, is on IG: @romero.kendal. A massive thanks to her daughter Estella who will recognize so much of herself in the Princess V that made it to the stage.
D'Angelo Smith
D’Angelo Smith [he/him/his] (Digit) is honored and excited to be on stage with Ghostlight. Favorite credits include: Last Night as King, Adult-ish, Candy is Dandy but Liquor is Quicker, I Just Don’t Get It (directed and co-starred), Kids For President and Hairspray. D’Angelo holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre - acting from Columbia College Chicago.
Gabriella Smurawa
Gabriella Smurawa [she, her] (Aria) is excited to be making her Ghostlight Ensemble debut. Chicagoland credits include: Next to Normal and The Fantasticks (Beverly Arts Center), Catch Me If You Can (Surging Films and Theatrics), Mamma Mia (Brightside Theatre), Jumpscares Volume I (Bump in the Night Theatre) and The Arnold Palmer Show (Three Brothers Theatre). Gabriella holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre performance from Western Michigan University. Thank you to Gabriella’s amazing friends, family and partner for their love and support!
Sasha Vulovic
Sasha Vulovic [she/they] (Sway) is excited to help bring this production to life! She started her path into performing arts and dance in Detroit, Michigan, where she apprenticed with the physical theater company, the Hinterlands, from 2013 to 2016; and meanwhile joined the street dance company Hardcore Detroit as a competitor and performer in breaking and freestyle dance. Sasha choreographed, wrote and performed dance-theater pieces in Michigan and ended up moving to Chicago in 2018 for the Professional Training Program at the Actors' Gymnasium. Since completing the program she has continued to live in Chicago, pursuing performance opportunities in burlesque and dance, as well as teaching: ballroom dance to adults and tumbling and clown to kids. Post knee surgery in 2024, she is very grateful to have her mobility and get back to play through movement!

Esau Andaleon [he, him] (Stage Manager) is thrilled to work with Ghostlight for the first time. Stage management credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Duchess of Malfi and Richard III (Babes With Blades Theatre Company). Scenic construction credits include Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel (Northwestern Bienen School of Music) and A Mid-Course Correction & Interplay (On the Spot Theatre Company). Esau holds a Bachelor of Arts in theater technology from Columbia College Chicago.

Maria Burnham
Maria Burnham [she/her] (Director) is a Greek-American writer, director, sometimes actor and stage manager and a founding member of Ghostlight Ensemble. She is also originated the idea for Nightlight and has worked on every single production since it began with her play The Princess Without Pots in 2018. She believes young audiences deserve complex and meaningful storytelling and that they understand more than we give them credit for. Special thanks to her stepson, Logan, who once told her she needed to put more jokes in her plays for kids. She’s still working on it.
Nick Conrad
Nick Conrad (Playwright/Director) is an actor, comedian and singer who studied improv at iO Theater, The Annoyance and Second City. He has also performed stand-up, improv and sketch comedy at various Chicago locations. As an ensemble member of Ghostlight, he has performed countless live readings and directed both Star Trek live readings Q the Tribbles and Khaaaaaan. He can also be found hosting weekly events with Championship Karaoke. Nick would like to thank all who helped turn the Invaders of Mathmatica from an idea in a notebook into a reality.
Chad Wise
Chad Wise [he/him] (Producer) is the managing director and a founding member of Ghostlight Ensemble. Chad recently directed Ghostlight’s entry in Fight Night: Origins and was recently be seen in City Lit Theatre’s House of Ideas. He has also worked with Public House Theatre and Terra Mysterium. He founded New Millennium Theatre Company in 1998 and served as its artistic director for many years, bringing experiences like The Texas Chainsaw Musical, Miyagi! A Karate Kid Musical and Silent Night of the Living Dead to Chicago stages. For Ghostlight he has also directed The Thirteenth Chair and Gingerbread Grindhouse, as well as numerous movie readings. He also spent quite a bit of time dressed as Santa either getting drunk or fighting Krampus!
